FAQs
-
When you purchase a license, one license = one project (one end product). This means you can synchronize the music with a single piece, such as:
- One YouTube video in the Standard License
- One YouTube channel in the Extended/Unlimited License
- One ad campaign
- One film
- One TV episode
Example: If you buy a Standard License for a YouTube video, you can use it in that one video only. You cannot use the same license for other YouTube videos, even on the same channel.
Alternative: you can purchase a higher license (Extended or Unlimited) where the YouTube channel counts as the end product, covering multi-use within that channel.
If you want to use the same track in another project, you will need to purchase an additional license.
If you need to use the music across multiple projects, please contact us for a specific license covering multiple end products or for a blanket license.
What is a blanket license?
A blanket license allows you (or your company) to use all music in our catalog across multiple projects without purchasing a new license each time. This is ideal for agencies, production houses, or creators who publish content regularly.

First, don’t worry. Your video is safe, and so is your monetization.
Don’t delete the video. This can be easily resolved.
If you licensed a track with Berool Music – you’re covered, you can dispute a YouTube copyright claim.
Google/YouTube shows you how to dispute the claim in these guidelines: Dispute a Content ID Claim.
In YouTube Studio, when you get to the box that asks you to explain your claim, write:
"
I purchased a license file on https://payhip.com/BeroolMusic. Oleh Boretskyi (Berool Music) gave me permission to use this music track in my video. License Key: [####-####-####-####].
"
Copy and paste the License Key from the Email Receipt, Product Dashboard, or License File.
That’s it!
If it doesn’t get resolved within 24 hours, please reach out to Berool Music.
More details are available in our post 'Resolving YouTube Content ID Copyright Claims'.

Choosing the perfect track or audio is a critical step in any video project, setting the tone and mood that can significantly impact its success. However, just because a track seems ideal for your project doesn't mean you can freely use it. Under copyright law, all intellectual property, including music, is automatically copyrighted.
Royalty Free Music refers to music that can be licensed for a one-time fee and used for as long as desired in accordance with the terms without the need to pay additional royalties or fees for each use.
It's not limited to personal listening; it's specifically licensed for commercial use. This means you have the right to use it in your videos, on your website, or in other commercial projects.
In summary, utilizing royalty free music ensures your content remains compliant with copyright laws and protects it from potential copyright claims or takedowns by streaming platforms' Content ID systems.
Is Royalty Free Music free?
No, it's not necessarily free, especially for commercial use. However, here at Berool Music, we offer FREE DOWNLOADs for personal non-commercial use. For commercial projects, our licenses start at just $19. Check the License Terms to see which license is suitable for your project. If you're unsure, feel free to contact us for clarification!
Is Royalty Free Music the same as Copyright Free?
No, Royalty Free Music is not the same as Copyright Free. When you license a track, you're purchasing the right to use it in your project, but it doesn't mean you own the copyright.
If you're referring to Copyright Claim Free, it means music is free of copyright claims, indicating it's not registered in the Content ID system. However, it's still copyrighted material.
Is Royalty Free Music free of Performance Royalties?
No. It’s different. However, the user doesn’t pay performance royalties – that’s the job of the performance rights organizations (PROs) – so you shouldn’t have to worry about it.

No, this is not allowed. Berool Music is a production music library, and our tracks are licensed for synchronization in various media productions, such as websites, videos, DVDs, TV broadcasts, films, and games, as background music. You cannot sing over the music track, add instruments, and market the results as your own music or song, even if you modify the original track or add additional elements. This is considered a "Derivative Work" and is not permitted. Berool Music retains the copyright of the music composition and recording.
You are allowed to record your voice and use our music as background for audiobooks, storytelling, hypnotherapy, guided meditation, self-help programs, or any form of narration. However, the music should not be marketed as a "song" or musical product. The purpose of the music should remain background support for the narration, and the copyright of the music remains with the composer and the publisher. Please note that if your project generates revenue and you distribute more than 1,000 copies, you will require a Extended License.

Once you've purchased a license from our site, you'll have the choice to download the music in high-quality WAV format and also in MP3 format to suit your needs.
Customers often opt for the broadcast-quality .wav files for projects like television or radio broadcasts, DVDs, or CD-ROMs. However, many also require the compressed MP3 version for web-based projects, such as background music for websites.
We also provide WAV STEMS. Stems are simply isolated audio files of the different components of a song, made available to filmmakers who need to alter a track to better fit their edit.
Please note that versions (60, 30 Sec Edits, Loops, Logos, etc), stems are exclusively delivered in WAV. Some older tracks may not include STEM files, but all new tracks do.
-
Music Stems are isolated audio files of the different components of a song, allowing for greater flexibility in editing and customization. For example, a typical indie rock song may have stem files for guitars, drums, bass, keys, and vocals.
By placing each of these files on their own audio track, all starting at the same time, users can adjust the volume of individual elements or even remove one altogether to create a customized mix.
Perhaps you've found a track that would be perfect if it didn't have a particular instrument, or maybe the drums are too dominant for your project. With stem files, these issues can be swiftly resolved, saving time on music selection.
At Berool Music, all commercial licenses include STEM files along with MP3, WAV, and additional versions. Starting from $19, you can access STEMs for any track, enabling you to tailor the music precisely to your project's needs.
Note: Some older tracks may not include STEM files, but all new tracks do.

Yes. The license permits usage of the music in a personal or professional context for yourself, your clients, or your employer. Our music may not be sold by itself, transferred, bartered, traded, shared, leased, or given away to any other party, and the license may not be subleased to a third party. Our music cannot be resold except to the extent that it is embedded in your own work as part of a finished end product. You may not market the music as your own, even if you add other instruments or a voice to the music. You may not sing over the music and sell or distribute the song.

To ensure fair compensation for the composer, cue sheets must be completed for all publicly broadcast productions, such as TV, radio, film, theatrical productions, and advertisements.
What is a PRO?
PROs (Performing Rights Organizations) manage the performance rights of music and collect royalties from broadcasters. In the US, these include ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC; in the UK, PRS; in Canada, SOCAN, etc.
Our PRO is BMI.
Who is the Berool Music composer and publisher?
- Composer & Copyright Owner: Oleh Boretskyi (BMI IPI: 01048501089)
- Publisher: Songtrust Blvd (BMI IPI: 00615755145)
What does this mean for you as a licensee?
If you purchased an EXTENDED or UNLIMITED license for TV, radio, or film broadcast, you do not need to pay any additional fees. These royalties are collected from broadcasters by PROs. However, you are responsible for:
- Accurately reporting the music used in your project.
- Submitting a cue sheet to the broadcaster’s PRO so the royalties are properly tracked.
How do I report the music used in my project?
Music is reported in a cue sheet, which lists all music used in an audio or audiovisual production for public broadcast.
For instructions on how to complete one, please see BMI's "What is a Cue Sheet?". Once completed, please ensure that you or your production company submit it electronically to your local PRO.
Optionally (and very welcome), you may also send a copy to BMI (cuesheets@bmi.com) and to us at beroolmusic@gmail.com.
